Encore Retirement and Rehoming
Our Mission
What Drives Us
To transition and care for retiring thoroughbreds or other equine and prepare for their next careers, whether it be companion, riding, or therapeutic service while offering an educational opportunity to the community.

Encore Retirement and Rehoming
What does a second career look like for our equine partners?
For a Thoroughbred wrapping up its racing career, a show horse ready for a lighter role, or a broodmare retiring from her foals, I believe there’s a new chapter waiting for most of them. At Encore, we’re dedicated to giving these horses the opportunity for a meaningful second career or, at the very least, a soft and safe landing they truly deserve.

Rehoming
Most of our rehoming opportunities come from Off-The-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs). It’s our responsibility and passion to ensure that these incredible athletes have opportunities for new beginnings as they transition out of their racing careers. Whether finding a new role where they can thrive or providing a well-deserved place to rest, we are dedicated to supporting them every step of the way.

Retirement
Not every horse is suited for a second career, and understanding the difference is key. Many farms in Lexington and Ocala have a “retired field,” where broodmares, track ponies, or other horses unable to be rehomed due to injury or temperament live out their days in peace. At horseOlogy Encore, we have our own version of this, lovingly referred to as our “oldies.” These special horses become part of our family, and we’re dedicated to giving them the best care possible as they enjoy a well-earned retirement with us.
Contact Us
I keep an open-door policy for owners. I continue to build a successful team with a family environment, which is the foundation for my growth. This allows me to maintain a consistent string of horses no matter where the team is racing.
